BOOKS, BOOKS, BOOKS!!!

On the independece day long weekend 2 weeks ago I went to Singapore for a medical reason... the moment we checked-in into the hotel we're staying, I just freshened up a bit and went to Kinokuniya he3x I intended to buy some comics and books I've beeing eyeing in Kinokuniya Jakarta. I wanted the books the moment I saw them in the new & bestseller rack but they're quite pricey, so I decided to wait and buy them in SG instead. Too bad I couldn't find most comics that I was looking for (mostly Mrs. Camui's order to ha3x). I almost cried cause the bookstore didn't have Augusten Burroughs' Possible Side Effects! That book was my 1st priority. But I got Marley & Me for half the price of Kino Jakarta!! I found a hard time finding it cause it was placed under category PETS he3x I couldn't find much od Mrs. Camui's order.

So the next day I went to Kino Bugis Junction, but the place even much smaller. But next to it was Absolute Comics, where I spent SGD 100 just for 4 comics. Could be more if Mrs. Camui was not in the bathroom when I tried to call her! Ha3x I almost gave up in finding Augusten's latest book but then I went to Borders and found it there!!! And it was still 1/3 cheaper than Jakarta price. I was sooooo happy...

With my experience that my baggage always overload cause it's filled with books, this time I squeezed them all into my very large backpack. What a big mistake!! I could've sprained my shoulder cause it was too heavy!! I should've put some into my bagage and pack the rest in my backpack. So imagine my relieve when I got home... The books were the first to be unloaded of course! (^___^) I stamped them with my name (yes, I have a stamp with my name on it so I won't have to sign every book that I have), cover them wih plastic cover, put those I have read in the shelves & put the one I wanna read on my bed. Perfect!

You know, entering a bookstore, especially a large & complete one, makes me feel like entering a very dangerous zone. Because I know I could spend hours in there if possible and getting out of a bookstore without a single purchase makes me feel guilty too ha3x That is why my mom always refuse to go to a bookstore with me, unless there's something that she's looking for. Even if she does have something to find, she's still has to drag me out of there by force! ha3x Sometimes I laugh when I hear her say: "This is my mistake, I shouldn't have let you learn how to read in early age and provided you with all those books that you didn't even understand. Now I can't get you sweep the floor or do anything else when you're reading." LoL That's true. And it's the same with my brother, but he prefers light reading while I read almost anything that interest me.

Well, wanna continue reading my books now... till later everyone!
