HIS TIME IS PERFECT

So, a long awaited event in the family is going to take place in August 25^th. It’s my cousin’s wedding. She’s 35 and the groom to be is 40. And they just met last January!! They’re not desperate but they had a long story behind that, which proved me that God works in a mysterious way & HIS time is always perfect for us.

4 years ago my cousin met the guy’s mother in a family gathering. And out of the blue she just blurted out that she wanted my cousin to be her daughter in law one day. She also said that she would arrange a meeting for them. That never happened. Something always came up. And around 3 years ago my cousin also dated another guy that she met through her friend. She already planned a marriage with this guy, but eventually she found out that he had been unfaithful. Still, love is blind (^__^). She couldn’t break up with him and continued the relationship under the threat of the guy’s ex girlfriend. I didn’t like the guy at all, he came to pick her up at my house one day, and he didn’t even want to get out of the car to get her! He just called her mobile and told her to meet him up outside. When he dropped her off he didn’t even say anything to my mom, just nod and off he went.

They dated for 2 years, and during that period she cried a lot for him. I didn’t understand why she kept going out with him, even her brother told her bluntly that he didn’t like him and didn’t wish her to continue her relationship with him. Finally, she gave it up when the guy’s ex-gf terrorized her mom with phone calls.For a year after she ended the relationship the guy kept trying to get back to her but she said no, thanks for the help of some church friends who helped praying for her and stood by her side. Some relatives also tried to introduce her to some men, but not one was successful. Then at the end of last year, her next door neighbor said that she wanted her to meet her friend’s son. The meeting was arranged, and voila!! It’s the man that she’s going to marry now! She was so surprised when she found out that he was the guy whom she kept failing to meet. When this man’s mother found out about her, she cried in surprise, she still remembered what she said in the family gathering 4 years ago and she never even thought that her wish would come true. My cousin is indeed going to be her daughter in law.

After a few meetings & so called date, they decided they’ve known each other well enough (especially since his mother was related to our family) and wanted to make it official. He proposed to her last month and last month the whole family met to arrange the wedding. I’m so happy for her… I’ve been there through her struggle for 4 years and I’m so glad that finally things were going her way. We all believed that God held the meeting between her and her future husband 4 years ago for the better. She learned a lot during the period, she learned to let go and to surrender her life in God’s hand. He also has been through some relationships before he met her. But now they have committed to start a life together. And we all pray for them, that all the plans will go well and they can have their own family in a few months.

I guess the world already knew about the earthquake in Central Java. And this Friday (June 16) I’m going with my church’s youth ministry to Parangtritis area to distribute aids. A friend who used to go to our church now live in Jogja and her church is used as a distribution base camp. She told us that many area hasn’t been reached by the government, and they’re in need for tents, baby food and blankets. We collected the funds from friends and families. We’re ready to leave this Friday and return on Sunday. Yeah, it’s gonna be a long and tiring trip, but since The Lord has provided everything, I trust our care in His hands. I'm taking this opportunity to visit my brother too. Please pray for our trip. I’ll return with stories from the visit. God bless you everyone!!
